To capture a list of Facebook posts, use the Capture a list of posts (URLs) feature in the Page Vault Browser or our Batch Social Media tool.
Steps to Capture Facebook Posts:
Option 1: Capture a List of Post URLs in the Page Vault Browser
- Open the Page Vault Browser and navigate to Facebook. Sign in to Facebook to access all available content.
- Open any one of the Facebook posts you'd like to capture — this will be your starting URL.
- Click Capture Page in the sidebar to open the Capture panel.
- The Capture type is automatically set to Facebook post capture
- Click the + next to Bulk capture additional posts.
- Paste your remaining Facebook post URLs into the text box.
- Each URL must be on its own line.
- Enter between 1 and 250 URLs per job.
- Posts can come from more than one profile.
- Confirm to add the URLs to your job.
- Toggle on Capture Embedded Videos if you'd like the MP4 file of any videos in the posts saved alongside the PDF captures.
- Select the folder where you'd like to save your captures, then add a case matter ID, or Notes if needed.
- Click Capture!
The Page Vault Browser will load each post one at a time, expand all comments and replies, and create an individual PDF for each post. Any embedded videos will be saved as MP4s in the same folder.
Option 2: Use Bulk Capture in the Batch Social Media Tool
If you already have the Batch add-on, you can capture a list of Facebook posts directly through the Batch Social Media tool in your Portal.
-
Log in to your Portal at portal.page-vault.com.
-
Click the Batch button and select Social Media.
- Choose Bulk Capture Posts and paste in your list of Facebook post URLs (up to 250 per job).
-
Authenticate your login: Authenticate using the Page Vault Chrome Extension (you must be signed into Facebook in your native browser), or by pasting your Facebook cookies into the Advanced Mode
-
Select your folder, name the job, and add an optional Case Matter ID.
-
Start the batch job. Each post will be captured and saved as its own PDF.
