How to Capture Videos

Easily queue and capture multiple video URLs in one session

Page Vault’s Batch Videos tool lets you efficiently queue multiple video URLs for capture. Whether you're working with streaming sites or other video content, this tool simplifies bulk capturing in just a few steps.

1. Supported URL Types

Batch Video captures two URL types:

  • Direct video URLs (http:// or https://).

  • Individual video pages from supported platforms: YouTube, Vimeo, Facebook*, Instagram*, and TikTok*.

Facebook, Instagram & TikTok require submitted cookies for access.

2. Creating a Batch Video Job

  1. Log in to the Page Vault Portal and click the Batch button.

  2. On the New Batch Job page, select Video.

  3. Choose a destination folder, give the job a name, and optionally add a Case Matter ID.

  4. For platforms requiring login (Facebook, Instagram), paste your cookies into the designated field

  5. Paste up to 5,000 URLs, one per line

  6. Click Start Batch Capture. If any URLs are invalid, you’ll get an error—fix those and resubmit.

  7. Track progress via the Job History tab

3. Important Notes & Troubleshooting

  • If a page has multiple videos, the tool captures only the first; you can extract direct URLs for each and input them separately

  • To obtain direct URLs:

    • Right‑click and choose “Copy source URL” if available,

    • Use the Video Download Helper Chrome extension,

    • Or inspect the page source for the video src= link Advanced option—“Proxy” box: Leave checked by default. If a capture fails even with cookies, try unchecking it

4. Resulting Outputs

  • Captures are saved as native video or audio files, complete with metadata (timestamps, hashing, etc.) in your chosen Portal folder.

  • You can now view, download, or export them just like any other capture
