Search in the Page Vault Portal

Quickly locate captures using metadata-based search.

Search in the Page Vault Portal allows you to quickly locate captures using exact text matching across key metadata fields.

Search is designed to help you find specific captures across large matters and accounts — whether you're looking for a particular URL, document title, author, or notes you’ve added.

What Search Includes

Search currently matches exact text across capture metadata fields (not the contents of the captured page or PDF).

The following fields are searchable:

Core Capture Fields

  • Capture Name
The name assigned to the capture in Page Vault.

  • URL
    The full captured URL.

  • Page Title / Document Title
The HTML page title or document title (this may differ from the assigned capture name).

  • Description
Document description from file metadata, if available.

  • Author
Document author from file metadata, if available.

  • User Notes
Any notes added to the capture.

  • File Format
File type information (for example: PDF, MP4, etc.).

  • Capture Date
The timestamp associated with when the capture was created.

Note: Some fields (such as Author, Description, or File Format) are only available for file-based captures where that metadata exists.

What Search Does Not Include

Search currently does not search the following:

  • Full text inside web pages or PDFs

  • Text embedded within images

  • Video transcripts or audio content

Search is limited to metadata fields only.

How to Use Search

  1. Enter a keyword or phrase in the Search bar.

  2. Review the matching captures in the results list.

  3. Use filters (such as account, matter, date range, owner, etc.) and sorting options (relevance, created date) to narrow your results.

💡Search results always respect your account permissions, so you will only see captures you have access to.
