How to Download Source Code

Export Individual or Bulk HTML Files from the Page Vault Portal

If you need the original source code of a webpage for reference or legal documentation, Page Vault makes it easy to download the HTML files for both individual and multiple captures.

Download Source Code for an Individual Capture

  1. Open the Capture Detail Page
    From the folder view in the Portal, click the thumbnail of the capture you want to access. This will open the Capture Detail page.

  2. Download the HTML File
    Below the thumbnail preview, click the Download button. You’ll see three options:

    • Download PDF

    • Download Source Code

    • Recreate PDF

    Click Source. The captured page’s HTML file will be generated and downloaded directly to your computer.

Download Source Code for Multiple Captures

  1. Select Captures or Folders
    In the Portal, select the checkboxes for the captures or folders you want to export.

  2. Choose Export Format
    Click Export Selected Items or Export Folder, then choose the Zip Folder format.

  3. Include HTML Files
    In the export options, select Include HTML.

  4. Request the Export
    Click Request Export. A ZIP file containing the source code (HTML) for each capture will be generated. You’ll receive a download link via email once it’s ready.
