Page Vault can capture most podcasts, with the best results typically coming from Apple Podcasts. To ensure a successful capture, it’s recommended to start by locating the Apple Podcast URL for the episode you need.

Steps to Extract the Direct Audio URL

To capture a podcast, you’ll need to extract its direct audio URL using the free Chrome extension Video Download Helper. Follow these steps:

  1. Open the podcast and make sure it is actively playing.

  2. Click on the Video Download Helper icon in your browser’s extensions menu.

  3. From the dropdown menu, select the option to extract the video URL.

  4. Multiple URLs may appear, since the tool detects all media on the page. If the first one does not work, try another option.

  5. Copy the correct URL and paste it into the Videos section of Batch.

  6. If an error occurs, try entering the URL into the Documents section instead.

Notes and Tips

  • Apple Podcast URLs generally provide the highest success rate.

  • Since Video Download Helper identifies all available media on a page, not all URLs shown will match the podcast. Testing multiple options may be required.
