How to Capture LinkedIn

Best practices for capturing LinkedIn pages using Page Vault

Page Vault does not have an automated expander for LinkedIn at this time. To capture LinkedIn content, you will need to use the standard capture tools and manually expand the sections you’d like to include.

Note: You must be signed into a LinkedIn account to view and capture content.

Capturing a Profile Page

  1. Navigate to the LinkedIn profile you want to capture in the Page Vault Browser.

  2. Select the desired tab (e.g., Home, About, Posts).

  3. Manually expand or collapse any sections you want included or excluded — the capture will reflect what is visible on the page.

  4. Click Capture.

  5. Select a folder, enter a case matter ID, and add any notes if needed.

  6. Click Start. Your capture will save to the chosen folder in your Portal.

Capturing LinkedIn Videos

  • LinkedIn videos can be captured using Page Vault’s Batch tool.

Troubleshooting:

Gray Overlay When Searching Profiles

  • This gray overlay appears if:

    • You are not logged into LinkedIn.

    • You search for a profile directly inside the Page Vault Browser.

Solution:

  • Make sure you are logged into a LinkedIn account within Page Vault.

  • For best results, run searches in a standard browser (Chrome, Edge) and paste the desired URL into Page Vault.

  • If you encounter the gray overlay after searching in Page Vault, refresh the page to regain interactivity.
