Batch Overview

Capture multiple URLs quickly and efficiently

The Batch Tool in Page Vault allows you to capture multiple pieces of online content—webpages, videos, and supported document types—in a single, automated session. Instead of entering and capturing each URL individually, you can paste a list of URLs and have them processed together. This is especially useful when working with large sets of related content or when you need to preserve multiple sources at once.

Key Features:

  • Multiple URL Input: Add a list of URLs by typing them in or importing from a file.

  • Automated Processing: Each URL is opened, captured, and saved without manual intervention between pages.

  • Supports Various Content Types: Capture standard webpages, streaming videos, and supported document files.

  • Consistent Capture Settings: All captures in a batch use the same chosen settings (e.g., capture type, metadata, timestamps).

  • Progress Tracking: View the status of each URL in real time as the batch runs.

How It Works:

  1. Open the Batch Tool from your Page Vault application.

  2. Select your desired job type
  3. Add your list of URLs.

  4. Select your desired capture settings.

  5. Start the batch process and monitor progress.

  6. Review your completed captures in the designated folder.

Best Practices:

  • Verify your URL list before starting to avoid capturing incorrect or inaccessible content.

  • Add cookies if needed to close pop-ups or bypass logins
  • Ensure videos and documents are accessible without additional logins or security steps whenever possible.

  • Run smaller batches if working with highly dynamic, large, or slow-loading files to reduce the chance of errors.
