How to Capture an Entire Instagram Profile

Using the Expander tool to capture Instagram content

Capturing an Instagram profile in Page Vault ensures that posts, comments, and videos are preserved in a clear, court-ready format. The new Page Vault Browser includes a dedicated Instagram capture type that opens and captures every post on the profile for you — no need to expand each one manually.

Note: We recommend signing in with an examiner account to avoid capturing your personal information. If you need help creating an examiner account, see our help page or contact customer support.

Steps to Capture

  1. Open the Page Vault Browser and paste the Instagram profile URL into the address bar. Press Enter.
  2. Sign in to Instagram with your examiner account.
  3. Click Capture Page in the sidebar to open the Capture panel.
  4. The Capture type is automatically set to Instagram Page (Opens and captures all posts). Leave this selected.
  5. Toggle on Capture Videos From Posts if you want playable MP4 files saved alongside the PDF captures.
  6. Select your destination folder (required).
  7. Add a case matter ID, or Notes if needed.
  8. Click Start.

Page Vault will scroll through the full profile, open each post to expand all comments and replies, and save everything as authenticated PDFs in your selected folder. Any videos will be delivered as MP4s in the same folder.

Captures typically take 2–3 minutes per Instagram post and may take longer depending on the number of comments. Larger profiles can run for an extended period — you can minimize the browser at any time, and the capture will continue in the background.
