How to Capture Individual Instagram Posts
Capture multiple Instagram posts at once using a list of URLs
Capturing multiple Instagram posts doesn’t have to be a click-fest. Page Vault offers two efficient workflows depending on how you prefer to operate: directly through the Page Vault Browser or via the Batch tool in your Portal. Both methods create individual, fully expanded PDFs of each post.
Method 1: Capture a List of Posts in the Page Vault Browser
-
In your Portal, click Capture to launch the Page Vault Browser.
-
.Navigate to Instagram.
-
Ensure you are logged into an Instagram account to access all available content.
-
Click the red Expand button.
-
Under Capture Type, select Capture a list of posts (URLs).
-
A blue button will appear—click it, then paste your Instagram post URLs into the text box.
-
Each URL must be on its own line.
-
Limit the list to 50–100 URLs at a time.
-
Posts can come from more than one profile.
-
-
Click OK.
-
Select the folder where you would like to save your captures. You can also update the capture name and case matter ID field if needed.
-
Click Expand and Capture.
The Expander will load each post one at a time, starting with the most recent, and create an individual PDF for each post with all comments expanded.
Method 2: Capture Instagram Posts Using Batch + Bulk URL Capture
If you prefer a more Portal-centric workflow—or you’re already organizing other bulk jobs—Batch offers another streamlined way to run Instagram URL captures.
-
In your Portal, go to Batch.
-
Create a new job and choose Social Media for the job type.
-
In the Social Media dropdown, select Instagram.
-
Choose Bulk URL Capture.
-
Paste your Instagram post URLs into the Post URLs box (one per line).
-
Since Instagram requires authentication, choose one of the following:
-
Authenticate via the Page Vault Browser Extension if you're logged into Instagram in Chrome or another supported browser.
-
Toggle Enter cookies manually and paste your Instagram cookies.
-
-
Click Capture to begin the batch job.
Each post will be processed individually, and PDFs will be generated automatically once the batch completes.
